17 ringlets richer! =D

(yes those are 1 Ringlet coins. For those of you who are part of the "new" generation, those coins aren't tendered anymore and I have no idea why I failed to change them for usable currency)

No kidding. See this is what you can get if you put all your loose change in your pocket together and slowly let it compile itself over a long period of time. You'll get a little extra pocket money to put a retarded smile on your face for that one day where you decide to sit down and count every penny you have =D by the way, McDonalds annoys me by giving me 1 cent coints. Yes, another reason that I do not like eating at McDonalds. Apart from the unhealthy food of course =)

So I woke up today to the sounds of two little dudes rushing into my room going "HELLO! What's your name?" and I answer "Nick. What's are your's?" and then they burst out in loud-hyperness, "I'm Michael and he's Kevin and we're YOUR COUSINS!" in an Aussia accent.

Wow, new cousins whom I've never met before! From Australia! Maybe they can teach me a thing or two about the Australian economy! Heh..heh..heh.. Okay distant cousins. But still, Awesome!

Cousins!

I'm starting to feel the goodness of these holidays. My mind's really been given a nice break. To be able to sleep at 2 in the morning and sleep as long as I want. Hey, I've been waking up at 11:30 to 12:00 everyday for the past three days! If that's not relaxation then I don't know what is. Hope the rest of you are enjoying your holidays as much as I am.

The Gyllenhaals Rock

In an interrogation room in Gordan's Intensive Care Unit...

LOL. ROFLMAO.

Back to Winning Ways

Thank goodness. After a streak of poor performances and disappointments, Manchester United were finally off the mark when they matched up against Bolton. Yeah you knew from the start that Fergie was aiming at an all offence style of play when he came up against this one.

Unfortunately it was up to a controversial decision to spark the Red Devils into life on this occasion. Referee Rob Styles gave away a penalty just at the hour mark. Controversial indeed, because many would say that the tackle by Bolton defender J'Lloyd Samuel on Cristiano Ronaldo in the box was a clean and excellent one. Well, to be honest, it did seem like a pretty fair tackle. But considering that the young Portugese winger calmly slotted the penalty home to give United a 1-0 lead, I have no complaints =D

From then on, everything was flowing United's way. Unfortunately the goals weren't coming as easy though. Not until a smart move by Sir Alex to bring on Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, and Nani. The bombarding of the Bolten goal continued but United were still unable to make the breakthrough. Not until a slick of genius by winger, Cristiano Ronaldo and some brilliant skill by England forward, Wayne Rooney, who netted the ball with a curling shot to the far post to double United's lead.

New signing Dimitar Berbatov got the chance to prove himself yet again. And he did with a couple of skillful flicks and twists but it's still a matter of time before he reaches his peak form as he did at Spurs.Getting closer each day I'd say.

On the other side of the footballing world. I'd say I'm quite happy with things. Liverpool striker, Fernando Torres was off the mark and has claimed that "he's back" after netting two goals against merseyside rivals, Everton.

Okay NO, I'm not a Liverpool supporter, but on a little something called Nokia NFC Manager (have you guys heard of it? okay it's this game where you create your own team in this league against other players), I've signed up Fernando Torres as my main striker up front. So yeah, the more he scores, the more points my team gets =D

ps: Glory Glory Man Unitedd!!

Disturb-Ya!

You know, during the past exam week, I've noticed something about the people around me. Exams really can change the way people behave. It's one of those things that only kicks in probably a week before or during the exam week itself. People become very easily agitated. Especially with someone like me around. Haha. Sorry guys if I have annoyed you during your studying (oh by the way, this excludes Joanne Lee)

Huey Ren and Nat deep in thought as they consume their lunch
(watching them study is intimidating)

But when I take a look at myself during this time of madness and insanity, I've realised that I become a little more relaxed. I don't know why, but it's ironic, the fact that I feel slightly less tensed up when others are stressed, but my stress levels start going off the scale when others are relaxed! It's insane!

Okay that little piece of information probably has no relevance to you whatsoever. But yeah, it's just something that I have noticed.

Oh by the way, exams just took its toll today and the feeling I'm feeling right now is unbelievable. A way of putting is it as though I can now come back home, lie on my bed, take an afternoon nap, and practically wake up at 10pm not having a single worry on my mind. Ahhh...

Oh well, I've probably only got a week to savour the sensations of this new form of relaxation. But I'm gonna try to make the best of out it. SO! Who's up for Banana Leaf Rice at Sri Paandi's? Sorry I'm not as "Cool" as certain people who head straight to nightclubs and pubs for girls and alcohol to celebrate the end of trials. Hey, for me, "Mulan girl", a teh'O ais limau and some friends would suffiece =)

"Copy Robbery"

Direct translations, English - Bahasa Melayu
Cetak Rompak - "Copy Robbery"
Hati - "Liver"
Aku Cinta Padamu dengan Sepenuh Hatiku - "I Love You with all my Liver"
Cedera Hati - "Wounded Liver"

LOL. I can just keep on going and going with the lame "HATI" lines. I mean that's cool considering someone with my "DASYAT" abilities in the Bahasa Melayu language.

Anyway! Lame "HATI" lines aside, let's focus on the message that I initially intended to get across to you guys. Cetak Rompak =D

No, I am not going to preach about how purchasing pirated DVDs is wrong or anything. (Kids, pirated stuff is wrong. Beli ORI... Macam Mawi =D) Oh is it just me or why is it whenever I think about the phrase "pirated DVDs, an image of 'Captain Jack Sparrow appears in my head'.

According to an anonymous source, this is the SEXIEST man alive.

Okay I can just go on and on about pirated DVDs but the bottom line is, take look at these little goodies that I got a week ago.

**
**
Yeah that's what I'm talking about. The Hulk, Iron-Man, and of course The Dark Knight in pirated DVD form!

Okay, yeah I did tell myself that I was going to get the original Dark Knight DVD, but that's going to be released in like, a few months time, probably around Christmas. So I just couldn't resist when Ethan came into class the other day and said aloud "I've got The Dark Knight CLEAR VERSION, DAMN CLEAR, CINEMA COPY, SMACK ME" oh yeah.

As for the other two, yes, me being the very much outdated person that I am, has yet to watch either of them. *fellow dudes shriek like sissy girls* so here are my short little reviews over the two movies.

The Hulk
Notice the Hulk is one of the only few superheroes without a "MAN" at the end of their character's name? Imagine what he'd be like if he were called Hulk-man. So anyway, this movie is seriously Animated to the max. I mean, yeah you can't possibly get a guy to fit into a big mean green suit, but still, Hulk is not the only animated thing in the movie. Stuff like the trees during that scene at the University and that helicopter at the end of the show were also very much animated. I don't know about you, but realism is a huge factor for me when it comes to these kind of movies. Oh and for those of you who have watched the movie, remember the part where 'Stan Lee' opens up his fridge to pick out a bottle of one of those green sodas and then drops it? I'd bet everyone thought that he was probably gonna mutate and become some kind of Stan Lee- Hulk or something. He could be called "STULK". Yeah, but that scene was very uncalled for and irrelevant. A plus side of the story would be the touchy touchy lovey lovey relationship between The Hulk and Liv Tyler's character. (LOL. I can't remember the characters names)

Oh here are some pictures of reinterpretations of this green character.

This is The Hulk that was in the latest movie

This was the Hulk in the movie the last Hulk movie that phailed.

And last but not least, this was the initial Hulk from the Tv series. ZOMG! That's a green "Syler" from Heroes!

Syler. Or should I say, Hulk's alter personality.

Overall I'd give the movie a 2 out of 5 rating *Hulk gets mad and turns green*

Iron-Man
*holds back from cracking the already outdated "Orang Besi" Iron-Man joke*
One word to sum up the movie would be 'Cool'. Yeah, I think everyone would agree with me that the story was a bit on the dull side and a lot of you probably felt that "Tony Stark" deserved a smack right in the face. But what stole the show and caught everyone's attention would probably be the COOLNESS of the Iron-Suit? (is that right?) or lets just call it "Iron Man's suit". Oh here's a question for you guys! Which do you think is COOLER, the Mark I suit, the Mark II suit or the Mark III suit?

Mark I Iron-Man

Mark II Iron-Man

Mark III Iron-Man

Because of the cool suits, and ONLY because of the cool suits, I'll give Iron-Man a 3 out of 5 rating.

Overall, I conclude that we all should watch The Dark Knight over and over again and applaud and Heath Ledger's stunning role as a homicidal clown =D

Surprise!

Surprise readers =D

*makes loud partay noises*

Nick Cheong is baaak from ze dead. It's smack right in the middle of the week and I've just achieved the impossible by successfully managing to get through two extended response questions, two essays, throw some short answer questions and multiple choice questions into the mix too! (Economics Trial Paper)

Yah I know you're probably going like "WHA? How's that an achievement?" Hey if you have seen me write, you'd know my writing speed and the way I clench my hand and grip the pen (Pilot G1 or G2 ONLY) and run it along the paper as though I'm engraving some carvings into stone. And thus, Econs is done and dusted for the time being.

Three papers down so far, and two to go =D TWO. The prospect of having one more exam day makes me all giddy inside (like a sissy girl). All the best to everyone in the upcoming Biology and Mathematical Studies papers!

Ah so what's the old Nickster been up to these days?

I miss the times where I'd be able to go out with someone, anyone for that matter, and simply just bask in the splendor of "lepakness" and all its glory. And that's precisely what I'll be doing for one whole week of holidays during the upcoming Raya week.

Sorry for the post of nonsense. The bottom line is...
Step-Over has officially come back to life =)

Temporary Absence

Dear readers of Step-Over,

I apologize for the long stint of absence of new posts. Trial examinations are just around the corner and I cannot afford to make any slip-ups at this point of time. It's just scary, the prospect of this being a reflection of what my final SAM results will be. So the bottom line is, I have to start putting MORE effort into my work for this last few months. I sure hope it's smooth-sailing once I'm over with this last hurdle. Thus, I am taking a break from blogging. I shall try to put up some updates whenever I can but as of now I think I'll focus more on work. Thanks for understanding guys =D Til the storms have calmed and the seas have settled, take care readers! God Bless, and all the best to everyone who's taking their SACE examinations.

Nick
