Weird Habits

Okay this may not exactly be the weirdest habit that someone might have, but hey! I only just realised that it was something that I was constantly doing without knowing that I'm actually doing it.

It's so random that I can say that I'll hand over a gugillian bucks on the spot if you can possibly guess what it is right now.

"Nick always has to say when saying goodbye."

Some of you might be thinking right now, "WOW what's with the emo-shmeemo statement?". First of all, it's NOT an emo statement. And second of all, it means what it says. Literally.

If you've had a conversation with me before, and when it gets to that part of the conversation where it's time to say goodbye, note that I will constantly say the word 'goodbye!', 'see yah!', or any other renditions of the word AS MANY TIMES AS I HAVE TO, as long as I'm the last person to say it. No really, it's true! As to how I actually realised that, I have no clue.

Why am I telling you guys this? It's not much, but it's some Fun Facts about Nick! =D especially for those people reading my blog who could care less to read about "FUN FACTS ABOUT TRANSFORMERS 2".

So let me end this post by posing a question to you readers,
"do YOU have any weird habits?"

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen FACTS

Do you read movie reviews? Well, usually I don't, but when there's a lot of hype over a certain movie, most commonly the usual blockbusters like Iron Man, or The Dark Knight, it just makes me curious to read what the critics have to say about these movies.

Anyway! I was reading through a movie review of the new Transformers movie and I thought I'd share some random facts about the movie that you MAY have failed to notice.

FACT 1
Bumblebee cannot talk
we know that at the end of the previous movie, Bumblebee said the lines "PERMISSION TO SPEAK SIR. I WISH TO STAY WITH THE BOY." to Optimus Prime! And Sam responded, "OH SO NOW YOU CAN TALK."

FACT 2
The Matrix of Leadership?
how does the title of "Leadership" reflect its purpose which is to activate a machine that blows up the sun?

FACT 3
The Decepticons used the All-spark Fragment to revive Megatron
if the decepticons could plunge the spark into Megatron and bring him back, why didn't Sam just do that to Optimus? Instead, he wasted it to revive that old piece of junk, Jetfire.

FACT 4 (my personal favourite)
5 Bogeys?
when the 5 decepticons jumped off the cargo ship and dived to the bottom of the sea to revive Megatron, that guy on the submarine cried out, "5 BOGEYS GOING DOWN FAST!".

When they were down there, that little German Nazi bot said, "NEED PARTS! KEEL ZE LITTLE ONE!" and his fellow Decepticons responded by taking apart one of thier comrades to use his parts to rebuild Megatron.

Megatron then comes back to life and the decepticons then head to the surface. NOW the guy on the submarine goes "NOW DETECTING 6 BOGEYS COMING UP FAST!"

Now, it doesn't quite add up now does it?
How does 5 -1 + 1 = 6

HOHOHO. There's probably one group of you guys giggling away to yourself in front of your computer screen, and there's the other group that's thinking to yourself, "Nick seriously has too much free time".

Whichever group you're in, if you wanna read about more Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen facts you can check out the review on Topless Robot.

do you see the resemblance?

Archives

About a few minutes ago, I was browsing through the Step-Over archives and WOW, time does fly!

No seriously! This is not the ordinary "Oops, one year has gone by and now I'm in University!" kind of fly-by. Tracking time through reading my blog posts really lets me see clearly all the things that I've done til this very day. Boy were there some crazy times. Definitely a lot of nice memories.

Which makes me wonder, how come my older blog posts seem a lot more interesting than my current ones? Hmm.. that is one sad sad fact indeed isn't it?

Have you taken a look through your own blog archives lately?

Back to school

Headed back to SMK BU yesterday to say hi to all our teachers. These little trips back to school with the gang is just so much fun. It's funny because I can still remember those times where we were sitting in class and we'd see the other ex-form 5 students walk by our class in their "cool" regular clothing. Look who the big boys are now ;)
We even got the chance to check out little weird things like those mirrors that are placed all around the school! Ah, the mirrors where we saw our sleepy reflections in every morning. Even that "biology-experiment-gone-wrong" that we kept at the back of the lab was still there! What initially was a beaker of mushed up fruits is now a beaker of mushed up fruits that has been rotting away for the past 2 years. Ah, good times indeed =)

The rest of the pictures can be found on my Facebook page. YES, I've started to use Facebook more these days. I like the whole thing of being able to upload pictures and tag people in them. And YES, I took a long time to discover this.

The Joker Blogs

Hello readers =D

Being the Batman fan that I am, I was introduced to this fan-made You-Tube channel by a friend. Basically, it's a series of fan-made videos depicting the Joker AFTER being captured at the end of the second movie. Due to the fact that Heath Ledger has passed away, fans were pretty bummed because they won't be able to see any more of the clown prince and how his story unfolds AFTER he's been captured.

I have to say, for some fan made videos, the plot is well planned out, there is a great script, and even if the actor playing The Joker isn't Heath Ledger, he's really doing a great job pulling of the creepy, yet entertaining aspect of the character on screen. It's really cool stuff. Highly recommended to all Batman fans =)

Here's the first video of the series!

Note that the series is not over yet, and the rest of the episodes can be found at the YouTube channel

I 'belanja' you

A simple scenario that takes place quite often in our lives,

A: Come let's go grab a bite!
B: Sure!
*eat eat eat*
A: YUM. Thanks for the company. The meal's on me =)
B: Eh no need lah! 'Pai Seh'... Don't laa.. I'll pay for myself.

A wise person once told me,

"when someone wants to bless you, accept their blessing and say thank you. And if you feel like it, bless that person back, not because you feel obliged to do so, but because you WANT to bless them."

That statement has been growing on me. Thank you wise person =)

Why I like Transformers

I could go on about how big a fan I am of the Animated series on television and stuff, but it all comes down to this simple fact!

Personally, the concept of turning something like this...
Human Alliance Bumblebee in Camaro mode

Into this! =D
Human Alliance Bumblebee in Robot mode

Don't you find it just extremely geek-e-fying-ly cool? Well, I do!

I have a feeling that a lot of guys in the world right now will probably have this exact same desktop wallpaper on their screens.
